Founded by Prof. A. Abubakkar Siddiq, Madras Mechanical Institute has spent over 18 years doing one thing exceptionally well — turning ordinary learners into confident, job-ready technicians.
MMI Global Skill Academy now brings that same hands-on training online. Anyone, anywhere in India can master EV technology, battery systems, solar, and modern automotive skills — at their own pace, in their own language, without leaving home.

When I started MMI in 2008, I saw too many students holding certificates but unable to open a bonnet or fix a real machine. That gap troubled me. I built MMI to change it — an institute where students learn by doing, on real vehicles and real batteries, until the skill is truly theirs.
